Current Issues

On this site you can read about Tulip's attitude towards current issues relating to food and food safety.

Traceability
All of Tulip’s products can be identified through a code which can, for example, consist of a product code, product description and use-by date.

Tulip’s internal systems at the factories ensure that the finished products can be traced back to the supplier of the raw materials.

Allergies

Nuts

Although no nuts are used at any of Tulip's factories, we cannot guarantee that there are no traces of nust in our products.

This is because there is a risk that through certain raw materials, traces of nuts may enter the production at the factories. The risk is minimal and any occurrence of nut traces will be minuscule.

GM free products

Tulip does not use ingredients that contain declarable genetically modified organisms (GMO).

In accordance with a circular on GMO ratified in the European Parliament, Tulip must be able to document that all raw materials and ingredients do not contain declarable GMO.

Quality standards

Tulip’s factories are certified in accordance with the UK quality standard BRC (British Retailer Consortium).

All Tulip's factories have compulsory audit programmes which, in the case of 4 of the factories, are supplemented by IS0 9001 accreditation.

All these approvals mean that the quality management systems are audited at regular intervals by independent accreditation bodies. The factories are also audited by the Danish authorities and by representatives from British, German and Danish supermarket chains.
