The laboratory carries out microbiological and chemical analysis of products from all Tulip factories to ensure that Tulip’s own controls as well as legislation and customer requirements are complied with.
The laboratory works in accordance with the guidelines in a special quality management system based on requirements laid down by The Danish Veterinary & Food Administration, the international quality standard DS/EN ISO/IEC 17025, Tulip’s own quality policies and quality objectives.
Tulip’s laboratory is located adjacent to Tulip’s head office in Randers, Denmark.
Storing and handling analysis results
On January 1, 2004, the laboratory acquired a new and advanced database for the storing and handling of analysis data.
The LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) database allows all Tulip’s factories and departments electronic access to the results.
This provides a broad overview of the data and facilitates the use of the analyses for Tulip’s internal purposes.
